Upcoming Events

Here’s a few organized events on O’ahu for running and cycling. I’m definitely planning on doing the Honolulu Bicycling League Century Ride and possibly the Norman Tamanaha 15K; not real sure about the rest, a lot depends on how my training is going.

First off is a series of runs called the 808 Race Marathon Readiness Series for those of us trying for the marathon this year; there’s also the Honolulu Marathon Clinic. The Readiness Series has tons of running events leading up to the marathon including the Tamanaha 15K mentioned above. I’m not sure I want to do anything more than a 15K at this point; we’ll see.

Honolulu Bicycling League’s Metric Century (100 kilometers, or about 62 miles) starting out in Hale’iwa and making its way to Ka’a’awa and back is coming up very shortly, on April 26th! And of course, there’s the full Century Ride later this year–early registration underway now!

Consider entering some of these great events!
