My Story, Part Forty Six

I’m feeling better. I’m still not back on my best sleeping schedule nor am I riding the way I want, but I’m starting to get back into a workout routine–and just in time.

My schedule has little room for error–which is becoming very clearly a flaw. When I have a setback of some kind, I’m often left frustrated and grasping at straws on how to fix the situation.

Perhaps a bit of a cut back is in order, although I’m not sure where.

One thing I don’t say too much here in this blog is that working out is not just about my physical health–it helps with my mental health too. I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining or bragging–even though I’m often complaining but not bragging–but I have a stressful career, and I’m taking care of my aging mother and just as often my nine year old niece. It’s not always easy, and I often get frustrated. Some outlet–any outlet–for dealing with stress is helpful, and exercise is one of the best–if not the best.

In any case, this weekend I’ll be out riding, trying to get at least a fifty mile ride in on Saturday morning, and twenty five on Saturday. I hope I feel even better then.
