My Story, Part Fifty Six

I’m feeling the pressure. I’m only a few weeks away from my biggest ride of the year–a ride I’ve done three straight years but last year got heat stroke from. I’m not afraid but I am concerned.

There’s no such thing as cramming training time in, but I’ve really done enough miles, even though I haven’t done the long rides. I did a 65 mile this past Saturday, then next weekend I’m hoping for an 85 mile–that one along the course that I’ll be following when the big day comes–so I’ll be ready.

It’s always useful to ride along the course that matters, so we’ll go ahead and do that for the first time in awhile.

Time’s running out. Let’s get on the bike and ride.
