My Story, Part Fifty Seven

I’m sore. The 65 mile ride on Saturday wasn’t hard (because I decided to take it easy), but there was a lot of wind to make my way through and it was hot. My left knee is a bit tender although I made it through without cramps.

I was still dehydrated a bit as of Sunday night.

The positive part about pain is that I know I’m doing something
, and really, the only way my muscles gets stronger is by being torn down and healing.

The soreness is a result of the tearing down.

Today I’m taking it easy even though I was hoping to do a long ride; I have lots to catch up on, including bike maintenance. But I’ll take care of these sore muscles for a bit and hopefully I won’t be quite so sore later.
