My Story, Part Sixty Five

I’m lazy. It’s been two weeks since the century and aside from lifting weights, a couple of runs, and one night of swimming I haven’t done anything in terms of exercise.

It’s time to start up again.

I don’t have as large a goal as the century in my near term future, but I do have a couple of goals. There’s a 5K in December the week before the marathon that I’m intending to do–waiting for registration information on that–and there’s the Great Aloha Run, which is a bit over eight miles of running that I’ve done a couple of years in a row now.

So my next goals are going to be about running. I have the shoes, of course, so it’s time for me to get going that way.

One of the fortunate parts of running (it’s well documented how much I dislike running) is that it’s time efficient. These events (granted, they are not epic, like a marathon) are not going to take me many hours to do, and so the training won’t either, unlike the century where I may be riding four or five hours some days to train.

It’s time to get moving.
