My Story Part Seventy Two
I’m struggling to get back in form. I’m not horribly out of shape, but my weight has gone back up to closer to 190 than 185. For various reasons I’ve already mentioned, life is not cooperating. But I’m starting.
I always say there’s really only a couple of things that can be done to fix someone’s health situation, aside from getting medical care, and that’s with diet and activity level. With the change in weather, my activity level hasn’t been what it’s supposed to be. I’m working on that. My diet is, hopefully, returning to where it was. One of my big issues was that I had stopped bringing dinner for my Tuesday and Wednesday night classes and instead was eating out. That’s stopped starting this week.
For those who would like to know what I would bring for dinner, it was a smoothie made of:
one cup uncooked oatmeal
one scoop (about two ounces) protein powder
one cup low carbohydrate soy milk
one cup water
four ice cubes
four frozen strawberries
Blend and it’s done in just a few minutes.
I put it in a Thermos style container and it stays cold (enough) even without refrigeration until I drink it that evening about 6 or so.
Making strides again. Unfortunately, they’re just strides to get back where I was not long ago.
