My Story, Part Eighty Four
I’m writing this on Thursday night–my triple workout day. Since I’m more focused now than I’ve been in awhile, it was pretty successful: four miles of running in the morning, an hour on the bike, and a half hour of swimming. My heart rate training seems to be working out although I continue to find it a challenge to go slow enough to keep my heart rate down.
I think I understand now my various failures of training. Since all I really knew how to do was go all out at anything, I believe I was always sore from running, feeling like I was on the verge of an injury, and beat up afterwards. Now that I’m taking things slower, not only is my endurance improved, but I don’t feel nearly as sore.
I’m encouraged. Let’s see how things go over the next few weeks.
