Calling Out O’ahu Runners

Last year, I wrote about the Ford Island Bridge Run right around when I started this blog. It was the first organized event I did after starting Athletic Diabetic, and just today in the mail the entry for the 2010 version of the event showed up.

For folks on O’ahu, this is a follow up event after the Great Aloha Run (which is in mid-February). Early April is a nice time of year to run–not yet all that hot. It’s largely flat, even though there is a downhill to start and an uphill to end. I did better in the GAR than I did in this event last year, partly due to conditioning but also due to not having it as a goal on my list when the year started.

It’s there now.

Those of you who are O’ahu runners–including my Twitter friends, you know who you are–let’s run this race!
