My Story Part One Hundred Nine

I’m getting my energy back. For me, it’s a cycle–when I’m eating well and I’m working out smart, I feel better an better. Then something happens–work, for instance–and I’m on the downside, with all of the energy seemingly sapped out of me.

It’s a cycle that works both to my advantage and disadvantage. When things are going well, I’m feeling invincible; and when things are not, well, I’m not.

I recognize the cycle; I’m just not sure what I can really do about it. Managing means doing the best that I can with what I have in front of me, and I believe that the majority of the time, I do just that.

Being human means understanding I’m far from perfect, and it’s unreasonable to expect me to do the best that I can with what I have all the time.

That doesn’t mean I don’t try to be better, though.
