Ice Helps

I must get into the practice of this: ice down my knees for twenty minutes every night.

It’s tough for me to do because I don’t like sitting still, and I like taping stuff around my legs even less. Yet, the practice of icing down my knees is helping me keep the ITB that limited me in the 2007 marathon from bothering me much.

Of the four part RICE method of dealing with athletic injuries–rest, ice, compression, elevation–ice is the easiest one for me to do. I just have to make a practice of doing it.
