I Love it When a Plan Comes Together
Despite the fact that my training has not been all I want it to be as of late, I feel like my plan for this year’s events and fitness has really been coming together.
For example, even without optimal training, I had a better than expected result at the Ford Island 10K, and I just finished a five mile run on Saturday morning without any issues whatsoever, despite the fact that my week had been horrible and I haven’t spent any time in my running shoes since the weekend.
It appears the time I put in early in the year training while keeping my heart rate down is paying dividends now. Even though I’m not totally where I want to be, I’m doing better than I would expect.
I’m hoping that the bike part of my training totally comes together next week when I’m in Haleiwa.
