My Story, Part One Hundred Sixty Three
…and I’m back. Kind of.
My aunt has moved in with us, possibly permanently. It’s already been more than a month. That has compressed my time more than I’d like, but my marathon training is largely on target.
I’m amazed at how five mile runs are so much easier than I could imagine, and quicker. For instance, I just ran a five miler at a 10:24 pace, which is faster than any of my timed race results. The closest I have is a 10:39 pace at a 5K in May, which is considerably shorter.
The endurance part of running is the difficult part for me. The marathon is not a sprint–it’s a six plus hour ordeal for someone like me–so I’ll need to pace myself well.
I’m hoping that extends to the way I can try to pace myself once again with this blog.
