My Story, Part One Hundred Ninety
I’m tired and sore. The Great Aloha Run on Monday following a hike and bike ride on Sunday (and a bike ride alone on Saturday) took a lot out of me.
That said, I’m pretty pleased with my results.
To drop over a minute and a half per mile from my previous best time tells me the work I’ve been putting in has been paying off.
Next I’m regrouping as I get ready for more events. April will bring the Ford Island Bridge 10K and the Hale’iwa Metric Century.
Running is harder on the body–the joints especially–than cycling is. As the next events approach, I’d like to switch from running (even though I’ve had so much success running recently) to cycling as my primary workout, with more variation of exercise thrown in.
We’ll see how that goes.
